What are LiFE Groups?
Joining a LiFEGroup is a great way to meet new people and experience the Christian Life in a smaller group setting! Our focus for each LiFEGroup is to help people Live in Faith Everyday.
BLC’s Life Groups are established small groups that meet regularly to build authentic relationships and encourage spiritual growth. We believe sustained life change happens best in the context of caring relationships built on accountability and trust.
In Life Groups, people study God’s Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It is also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they are absent for any reason. LiFE Groups are designed with everyone in mind: for all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity.
Why LiFE Groups?
It starts with a very fundamental understanding of Community Life here at BLC: We Need Each Other. Taken from the imagery found in I Corinthians 12:12-26, we see the BLC Family as one body with Christ as the head – each of us play our part towards the whole.
At the same time, we recognize that we are fundamentally relational beings and we believe intentional relationships are a key to sustained spiritual growth. LiFE Groups allow believers to grow closer to one another and develop friendships with others at Bangsar Lutheran Church. Participating in Life Groups not only unites people together, but also helps foster spiritual growth.
How big/small are LiFE Groups?
They can start as small as 3 people who are committed to meeting together. However, a recommended size should be around 8-12 people.
What happens at LiFE Group meetings?
Though each group differs in how they are structured, group time consists of building relationships, biblical discussion, and prayer.
How long does a LiFE Group meeting last?
Typically an hour and a half (90 minutes) to two hours
Types of LiFE Groups we have:
