With a heavy heart, we are passing on the message that our dear friend, Rev. Peter Young has returned to the Lord early this morning – passing away peacefully slightly after 1am (Malaysian time).

Rev. Peter Young was hailed as a wonderful man of God, as well as a Malaysian luminary. He was a passionate and visionary personality who devoted his whole life to the betterment of the marginalized. Some of you may know him from Malaysian CARE, where he served as the first Executive Director; Dignity and Services, a registered advocacy group he founded to promote the interest and championing the cause of persons with learning disabilities; from his various books, writings and messages throughout the country (recently at The Micah Mandate); as well as a respected Malaysian humanitarian.

The wake for Rev. Peter Young will be held on Wednesday, 2 July 2014, at 8pm, at St. Paul’s Church Petaling Jaya. The funeral will be held on Thursday, 3 July 2014, at 10:30am, also at St. Paul’s Church, PJ.

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go with Rev. Peter Young’s family and loved ones. Though we mourn for now because we bid him farewell on this side of eternity, we look forward to a joyful reunion in the Lord.

  1. We can only praise God for the life of Peter Young, not forgetting his beloved wife, Betty. We shared many great times in the early 70s at the beginning of the renewal by the Holy Spirit’ We remember with joy the ‘Singing Saints’, the tour of the Come Together concerts which blessed so many. Peter and Betty have always been an inspiration to us. We are now retired in UK. Richard and Helen Salmon ( one time Vicar of Kuantan, Pahang)
