“O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; … I will lift up my hands and call on your name. My soul is satisfied as with a rich feast, and my mouth praises you with joyful lips when I think of you on my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.” -Psalm 63:1-8

Come spend a quiet evening with us at The Father’s House today as we wind down at the end of another week, share stories about our Lenten journey so far, and contemplate scripture and song together.
First Fridays are monthly evening gatherings at Bangsar Lutheran Church: A simple hour of contemplative and reflective worship for those seeking an “alternative” space to slow down at the end of the week… a respite from the busyness of our daily experience and a chance to renew our strength in God’s presence and one another’s fellowship.
In the past, this meeting has included moments of silent prayer, art, scripture reading and reflection, and songs.
First Fridays are an experimental space to share fresh approaches, as well as to revisit age-old traditions in Christian worship. Guests are invited to suggest readings, music and other prayer & thought points for future meeting. Please feel free to contact any of the event hosts/admins with your ideas!
